Trades Generalist

Under the supervision of the second-in-command the incumbent will function in the primary trade as a carpenter. The incumbent will perform journey-level carpentry work and may supervise others in the construction and repair of structures and other wood items which includes roofing, millwork, furniture construction and repairs, cabinet work, and use common construction tools and equipment. The incumbent will perform a variety of routine unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment including electrical, plumbing, plowing, mowing, and sawyer work. The incumbent will also assist in the supervision of subordinate seasonal maintenance employees.

Salary Range:
From $44354 to $54140 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Four years of full-time experience in a carpentry trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
